ABC Host Calls Out Trump Press Secy. For Lying– Seconds After She Promised To Never Lie! (VIDEO)

Last week, after just six months on the job, Sean Spicer resigned as White House Press Secretary. He was replaced by Sarah Huckabee-Sanders, who made an appearance on This Week Sunday morning and was asked by host George Stephanopoulos:

“Do you promise to try the always tell the truth from that podium?”

To that, Sanders vowed:

“Absolutely. Not just to you. I think that is our duty, certainly. I have three young kids. I want to go home and be able to look them in the eye every day. That’s far more important to me to be able to do that and have that highest level of honesty and integrity. I want to do that in every single thing I do. Not just my job. This is an extension of me being able to do that. I’m excited and honored to do it.”

Next, Stephanopoulos noted that President Trump and his staff had “not been straight about exactly what happened” regarding Russia’s interference in the U.S. election. He then added:

“In fact, the attorney general first said he never had a meeting with Russians. Now you have a new intercept that says he did talk about the campaign.”

Rather than respond, Sanders began…lying! She just said she wouldn’t ever lie to the media, but she’s right back at it. Lying is the default position for anyone who works for this White House. Sanders replied:

“If we’re going to talk about issues with Russia, and I think that we certainly should, one of the first places we should look is at the $500,000 that Bill Clinton took from Russians when Hillary Clinton was secretary of state,” Sanders complained. “If we want to talk about collusion, I think that is one of the first places we should look. They should ask for that money back.

“The media loves to talk about it only when it comes to President Trump. They’ve been doing it for almost a year. They’ve come up with nothing when there’s real issues with some of the activities that the Democrats took place in.”

Fortunately, Stephanopoulos didn’t hesitate to call bullshit on Sanders, telling her:

“You know that’s not true. You know for many months that you and the president and his teams denied any contact with the Russians. Just in the last couple of weeks, we’ve seen those contacts revealed. That’s why Don Jr. is going to have to appear before the Senate. That’s why Jared Kushner is appearing before the Senate as well. This is not a made-up story from the press.”

Members of the Trump administration should heed some words many of us learned as children from our parents and grandparents: Always tell the truth; it’s easier to remember.
