Bannon Tosses Kushner Under The Bus – Says Jared Conspired With Russia

At one time, the members of Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign must have thought they could keep their conspiracy to get Trump elected by any means necessary a secret. They probably made promises to each other and had a good laugh as they patted themselves on the back for being so brilliant and devious.

But that’s the problem with the best-laid plans: They often come back to you in the form of karma that takes you to your knees and makes you question why you dared to involve yourself in such a risky scheme.

In the case of Steve Bannon and Jared Kushner, two men who never really cared for each other are now engaged in a campaign of scorched earth warfare via the media, and Bannon has drawn first blood, telling Gabriel Sherman of Vanity Fair:

“He’s taking meetings with Russians to get additional stuff. This tells you everything about Jared. They were looking for the picture of Hillary Clinton taking the bag of cash from Putin. That’s his maturity level.”

That led Kushner’s attorney, Abbe Lowell, to comment:

“Steve Bannon may regret not being in the White House anymore, but that is not an excuse for him peddling false stories about Jared or anyone else.”

Sounds like there’s not much love lost between Bannon and Kushner, does there? And that’s exactly what Special Counsel Robert Mueller is counting on: That antagonists like these two will turn on each other and tell all kinds of things about who did what and what all those secret meetings with Russians were about.

Here’s what Bannon and Kushner aren’t counting on, however: Mueller has them both sized up for handcuffs and long prison terms, so the more they try to slag the other, the deeper they dig their own hole. It’s a mutual suicide pact, and it’s bound to incriminate both of them sooner or later.

And when that happens, Mueller will be there to see them both as they’re led off to their respective fates.
