Bush Ethics Czar: Blame Trump, Bannon, Gorka For Neo-Nazi Rally In Virginia (VIDEO)

As neo-Nazis, so-called “white nationalists,” and other assorted racist, xenophobic jerks took part in what they’re calling a “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, clashes with counter protesters broke out Saturday morning and a near riot took place.

Watching live video of the event, guests on the MSNBC show AM Joy were disgusted by what they saw, and none more so than former ethics czar under George W. Bush, Richard Painter, who is now a law professor at the University of Minnesota. Painter laid blame for rallies such as the one in Virginia on President Trump and members of his administration:

“I don’t always agree with everything the Republican administrations do but we have never ever seen rhetoric similar to what has come out of this White House. We never had anyone like Steve Bannon or Sebastian Gorka in the Bush White House, to that president’s inauguration.”

Painter added that right-wing media such as Breitbart also helps foment such hatred:

“That is disgusting. We never would have tolerated that and we can disagree,. I disagree with my own party on some issues, but we never would have had any of this in the Bush White House and these people need to be fired immediately. This is Breitbart News, and Breitbart News is a racist organization and it needs to acknowledge as such, they should not be given preferential access to the White House which is what they’re now getting under Steve Bannon.”

If Trump refuses to fire white nationalist sympathizers such as Bannon and Gorka, Painter also noted, then there can only be one other solution:

“Bannon needs to be fired, Sebastian Gorka and the rest of the fascists or we have to remove this president.”
