CNN’s Ana Navarro Sums Up Trump’s 100 Days: ‘2 Minutes Of Unity’ And ‘Golfed 20 Times’ (VIDEO)

Did Donald Trump accomplish anything in his first 100 days? He managed to pass no legislation, achieved no foreign polity breakthroughs, and his two most hyped executive orders (the travel ban and taking money away from so-called sanctuary cities) were both put on indefinite hold by federal courts.

On CNN’s State of the Union Sunday morning, former GOP strategist Ana Navarro weighed in on the Donald’s first 100 days, and her honesty was refreshing in contrast to bullshit artists in the Republican party who have tried to make excuses for Trump. Navarro commented:

“We know he hasn’t given up golf, he spent 20 percent of the first 100 days of golfing. He did twenty golf trips to my state of Florida  which is really costing taxpayers a lot of money. He golfed 20 times on Trump properties. We know he hasn’t given up tweeting. We know he hasn’t given up promoting his brand or his family. He know he hasn’t given up lying, exaggerating and telling mistruths. And we know he’s riding around in a nice plane, he hasn’t even given up his private jet. So what exactly has he given up?”

And when the topic turned to the rally Trump spoke at Saturday evening rather than attending the White House Correspondent’s Dinner, Navarro again savaged the alleged head of state:

“Listen, in one hundred days he’s had about two minutes of unity. And I will tell you when he introduced the widow of the deceased Navy SEAL at the joint address to Congress, he’s got to do more of that.

“I thought yesterday was so symbolic of the last 100 days and it tells me about the next 100 days. You had Trump, President Trump in Pennsylvania speaking to his base, feeding red meat to the base and being divisive. You had the press celebrating the press standing up for journalism [at the WHCD] and you had the resistance marching in sweltering heat in Washington for climate change and against Trump.”

What can we expect now from Trump? Navarro had the perfect response to that question, too:

“Folks, that’s what the last 100 days has been and that’s what the next 1,360 days are going to be.”

Sometimes it takes a Republican to tell the whole truth about a president from her own party. And that’s exactly what Navarro did. Bravo, Ana!

  1. I have always considered Navarro nothing but a vacuous RWNJ but, from the mouths of babes… I have a newly discovered appreciation for her recently acquired pragmatic judgements; her observations confirm the fact that “you can run but you can’t hide.” At long last, even Trumpsters, one by one, will have to come to the realization that they have been duped (no surprise there) and that they will now pay the price. “Even a fool is wise when it is too late.”
