Donald Trump Jr. Defends Kenosha Shooter Kyle Rittenhouse: ‘We All Do Stupid Things At 17’

According to Donald Trump Jr., none of us should be too hard on Kyle Rittenhouse, who is accused of shooting and killing two people during a Black Lives Matter protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin, last month. Why? Well, because we all do “stupid things” when we’re 17-years-old.

In an interview with the TV show Extra, Don Jr. was asked directly about why his father has refused to condemn what Rittenhouse did:

“Why hasn’t the Trump Administration or President Trump condemned what happened in Kenosha with Kyle Rittenhouse… coming across state lines and… murdering two people and injuring another [at a protest]?”

Junior responded:

“We’re waiting for due process. We’re not jumping to a conclusion… If I put myself in Kyle Rittenhouse[‘s shoes], maybe I shouldn’t have been there. He’s a young kid. I don’t want young kids running around the streets with AR-15s… Maybe I wouldn’t have put myself in that situation — who knows…? We all do stupid things at 17.”

We all do stupid things at 17. Really? We’re not exactly talking about taking your parent’s car out for a joy ride or smoking a joint. Rittenhouse is accused of murder, which is supposed to be something a so-called “law and order” president cares about. And yet, there’s been nothing from the White House, nothing from the president, and nothing appears forthcoming.

Fortunately, the Extra host pushed back at the president’s son:

“It’s a little beyond stupid.”

Don Jr.:

“Really stupid — fine. But we all have to let due process play out and let due process take its course.”

Where was letting due process play out when Junior, his father, and nearly every speaker at the 2016 Republican convention gleefully chanted “lock her up” even though Hillary Clinton hadn’t been charged with anything?

Domestic terrorists get the benefit of the doubt in the twisted mind of Donald Trump Jr., but a former secretary of state and first lady doesn’t deserve that same courtesy.

Donald Trump Jr. isn’t just a disgusting hypocrite. He’s also a pathetic excuse of a human being.

  1. I think about the black girl who was sent to jail for not doing her homework.
Or the black teens that were murdered for stupidly being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
The Trumps and their entire base are lacking in morality and should be kicked out of the country…. we don’t need their kind.

  2. Yet, his family and he have not hesitated to bully a 17-year-old girl, Greta Thunberg, whose only agenda is to improve the environment. I guess he thinks intending to improve the environment is a serious crime wihile murder isn’t.
