Fox News As*hole Has To Apologize For Calling Autistic Child A ‘Snowflake’ (VIDEO)

No doubt you’ve heard the expression used by those on the right, especially those who support the illegitimate president currently residing at the White House: Snowflake. It’s mean to suggest that someone is delicate and their sensibilities easily upset.

But now a Fox News contributor is having to eat her words and offer an apology to an eight-year-old boy with autism that she chose to label as being a “snowflake.”

You may recall that last week that Mike Pence was speaking at a school when he made a gesture with his arms which led to him bumping a child in the face with his right arm. Take a look:

The kid, named Michael, demanded an apology from Pence. But to hear Bruce and Fox Host Bill Hemmer tell it, the young boy made a mountain out a molehill and should have been tougher. Worse, Bruce commented:

“I guess we’re giving birth to snowflakes now, because that looked like that kid needed a safe space in that room. It is a bit, the eight year-old pretty much stalked the vice president afterwards. He wasn’t even — the headlines said he was ‘hit, he was struck, he was smashed, he was bumped.’ The fabric on his sleeve touched his nose maybe. He stalks the vice president, says, ‘you owe me an apology.’”

Then we found out from Michael’s parents that he’s autistic. So Bruce beat a hasty retreat and had this to say:

“I am so sorry to the family. My intention was never to hurt a kid and his mom. We had absolutely no idea Michael was on the autism spectrum, and as a gay woman and feminist, I’ve spent most of my adult life working to improve the lives of woman and children, and those who are disenfranchised.”

But even if the boy hadn’t been autistic, what kind of an asshole takes cheap shots at a child on national television? Bruce may say she’s spent her life working to “improve the lives” of children, but she flushed all that down the crapper the minute she decided to make fun of a little boy.

Maybe I’m old-fashioned, but I was taught that if you bump into another person you always apologize. Always. No exceptions. Then again, I don’t make a living attacking children and then try to make it all better with a half-baked excuse about being disenfranchised. Is that supposed to make me feel sorry for Ms. Bruce? I hope not, because I sure as hell don’t.

Here’s the original video of Bruce calling Michael a snowflake:
