Fox News is in free fall. They’re mired in third place in the ratings, have lost the majority of their evening hosts to scandal or other networks, and are now trying to decide whether or not the time has come to cut ties with Sean Hannity.
And now, in a pathetic attempt to feed red meat to the right-wingers who still worship the Fox message, Jeanine Pirro is trying to defend the Trump administration by repeating White House talking points that Russiagate isn’t the fault of the perpetrators, but of those in the administration who are leaking to the press.
On her show Sunday evening, Pirro declared she has her “own ideas who that person is,” but is “not ready to share them.”
In other words, she has no damn clue, but tune in next week and maybe she’ll tease you a bit more with a new set of fake information.
Pirro then added this heaping helping of bullshit:
“We are in big trouble. What is it? The leaks. Yes, leaks. There is a leaker in the White House, there is traitor inside the people’s house. A traitor who must be taken out. That person is an enemy of the United States. That person doing enormous damage, no just to the president—who is certainly capable of taking care of himself—but instead to our nation.”
The traitor in the White House sits behind the desk in the Oval Office. His son-in-law, who sought to open a back-channel line of communication with Russia is also a traitor, an enemy of the United States and the free world. Let’s not confuse the issue here. If Trump and his staff hadn’t betrayed us all and made deals with the devil, there would be nothing to leak.
So, Jeanine, spare us the drama and the smokescreens. Defending a group of people who sold their own country down the river is not only disingenuous, it’s downright sinister.
