Gingrich And Hannity Whine: ‘There’s A War Against Fox News’ (VIDEO)

Newt Gingrich and Sean Hannity, both of whom are ardent supporters of Donald Trump, are firmly convinced that “liberal fascism” is trying to destroy them and the source of their paychecks, Fox News.

A day after Hannity was accused of sexually harassing a woman who appeared on his show, the Fox host opened his nightly show by angrily announcing that there is:

“A well-orchestrated effort by the intolerant left in this country that is designed to silence every conservative voice and by any means necessary.

“I can no longer let the left’s slander against me slide. If there’s any person, any group, any organization, any media outlet that slanders, lies about me, besmirches me, my character, I’m gonna be calling them out. Because at this point, enough is enough.”

Poor Sean! He’s so afraid he might lose his television platform where he’s allowed to kiss Donald Trump’s fat ass for an hour at a time. What would he do if he could not longer genuflect and bow in the direction of the Con Man-in-Chief as the so-called president goes about imposing his own brand of corporate tyranny on the nation?

As his guest for the first segment of the show, Hannity had former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, who, much like Trump, is a serial philanderer who’s been married three times. Gingrich was only to happy to play along with the blame game Hannity had initiated, saying:

“There’s a war against Fox News for a practical reason. Fox News is the one place where you get reasonably accurate coverage of Donald J. Trump. If you’re The New York Times or CBS News or The Washington Post, you would love to live in a world with no Fox News. And so there’s literally a war going on with money being raised to hire lawyers, to set up fights, to do investigations, so you’re a piece of that action. But you’re also a piece of this much broader action that all across America, the fascist left has decided that they have to shut us up because we’re winning the argument and we’re winning elections.”

The irony of what Gingrich and Hannity are busy spinning into a conspiracy theory is that their political savior, Donald Trump, has repeatedly attacked any media outlet he disagrees with as “fake news” and said that the media is the “enemy of the American people.” What has conservatives terrified is that they aligned themselves with a head of state who is known to be a sexual predator. Now they’re under the same spotlight as him, and they can’t take the heat.

A world without Fox News? Now that would be a much better world indeed.
