A woman recently decided to donate all of the money she had been saving for the purpose of buying a home to an anti-LGBT group which will be holding a anti-gay rights rally in Washington, D.C. this weekend.
The National Organization for Marriage (NOM) started a GoFundMe page last week, seeking donations from supporters to sponsor 20 buses at this year’s March for Marriage, which will be held on April 25.
The woman, who has not yet been named, said she had originally planned to merely contribute $25 to the rally, but then changed her mind and decided to give more because marriage equality supporters had made what she considered to be “evil comments.” She then went on a hateful written tirade which began with this:
“Thanks for this donation may be directed to Frank P. Conway, Todd C. Allis, and William Duke who inspired us to remove savings for the down payment of our home and instead dedicate it to NOM, Gentlemen, if you are reading this, know that your $1 donation and pro same-sex marriage comments were meant ‘for evil’ but God has turned it ‘into good’ by impressing us to donate much more than the $25 we originally planned to give.”
Then the woman decided to reference recent events in Indiana surrounding the passage of the controversial Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA):
“Just as in the case of Memories Pizza, LGBT Bullies have crossed the line one too many times, All of you have actually proven that there is a GOD by motivating those of us who have been sitting on the sidelines to step forward and stand for what only GOD created – marriage between one man and one woman.”
Finally, the woman declared that not only were marriage equality proponents wrong, they were also fighting against God:
“GOD is the One that you are really fighting and just like Hitler’s Nazi regime – they won a number of battles but LOST the WAR. Every time you spend an American penny remember it proclaims what the Founders of this nation and our Constitution established for America ‘In God We Trust.’”
The woman then donated $777 to NOM, no doubt feeling that her money was being put to good use when in reality she would have done better to flush it down the toilet in the home she will now be even further away from owning.
But in the end, it’s a good thing when you consider this: Would you want this wacko bird living in your neighborhood?
