Here Are 7 Of Donald Trump’s Favorite Conspiracy Theories

Donald Trump loves conspiracy theories. He may well be one of the most ardent believers and spreaders of lies and half-truths to ever stand before a microphone. The list of things Trump has latched onto over the years is almost endless, but here’s seven of his all-time favorites:

1. Birtherism

For nearly a decade, Trump has claimed that President Obama fabricated his birth certificate so he would be eligible to run for president. His evidence: Some rantings from Maricopa County, Arizona, Sheriff Joe Arpaio, “Israeli Science,” and an unnamed “extremely credible source.”

When the President released his birth certificate, Trump tried to claim it wasn’t valid or complete.

2. Obama Will Start a War to Win Re-election

Just a few weeks before the 2012 election, Trump predicted that Obama, who he claimed was upset about his “really bad” poll numbers, would “start a war or major conflict to win.”

Still waiting on that war. And Obama crushed Mitt Romney to win re-election.

3. Justice Scalia Was Murdered

Just two days after Justice Scalia died, Trump went on Michael Savage’s radio show and said:

“Well I just heard today, just a little while ago actually, I just landed and I’m hearing it’s a big topic, the question, and it’s a horrible topic but they say they found the pillow on his face, which is a pretty unusual place to find a pillow.”

No evidence of foul play was found in the death of Scalia, who was overweight and had heart problems.

4. Thousands Of Muslim-Americans In New Jersey Celebrated On 9/11

I know it might be not politically correct for you to talk about it, but there were people cheering as that building came down, as those buildings came down, and that tells you something. It was well covered at the time.”

Trump was asked to provide proof and said the media would have to come up with the videotape of what he saw on television. As of yet, none has been located.

5. Syrian Refugees Are Mostly Young Men

Trump has said this one many times, but the evidence is against him: The majority of Syrian refugees are women and children.

6. ‘They’ve Shut Christianity Down’

The majority of the American population identifies as Christian. And who is “they?”

7. Cover-up Of 42 Percent Unemployment Rate

Another of Trump’s favorites. The unemployment rate has gone down dramatically under President Obama, but Trump claims:

“Don’t believe those phony numbers. The number’s probably 28, 29, as high as 35. In fact, I even heard recently 42 percent.”

He heard it? Yeah, one of his sycophantic yes men said it out loud and Trump started repeating it.

This is the man we want in control of our nuclear arsenal? I’d feel safer letting my dog drive my car while I settle into the back seat for a nap.
