History FAIL! Trump Spokesperson Says Obama Invaded Afghanistan (VIDEO)

Trump spokesperson Katrina Pierson may be the most ignorant individual to ever appear on behalf of any candidate who has ever run for office in this country. Even worse, she appears to delight in being willfully ignorant, which is one of the worst things I can imagine.

Pierson appeared on CNN earlier today and was discussing remarks made this week by Trump in which he called President Obama “the father of ISIS.” Pierson told CNN host Victor Blackwell:

“If you want to go way back, we can look at the troop surge. And after 2007, al Qaeda was essentially in ashes. It was Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton who then destroyed the entire rollout by wanting to pull out early, announcing their plans, ignoring intelligence and that’s the reason why ISIS is a global issue and not a –”

Blackwell interjected:

“Barack Obama in 2004, is that what you said?”

Pierson:

“No. I said afterwards. After the surge when al Qaeda was in ashes. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton — remember we weren’t even in Afghanistan by this time. Barack Obama went into Afghanistan creating another problem. It was Hillary Clinton and her incidents in Libya. They armed the rebels and funded them.”

Again, Blackwell tried to follow what Pierson was suggesting:

“You’re saying Barack Obama took the country into Afghanistan post-2009. Is that what you’re saying?”

Pierson then proved that she failed elementary history by responding:

“Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton — that was Obama’s war, yes.”

For the record, George W. Bush invaded Afghanistan in 2001 because it was serving as a safe haven for Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda, who were responsible for the planning and execution of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

Looks like Ms. Pierson is about as poorly informed as her boss, Donald Trump. Hopefully after November both of them will fade back into the woodwork.
