Michele Bachmann Says God Will Tell Her If She Should Run For Al Franken’s Senate Seat

As if the scene in Washington isn’t crazy enough these days, former Minnesota Republican Congresswoman Michele Bachmann is now indicating that she may be interested in running for the Senate seat recently vacated by Democrat Al Franken, who resigned after numerous charges of having groped women over the years.

Bachmann, appearing on Jim Bakker’s show recently and said she’s “had people contact me and urge me to run for that Senate seat” in Minnesota.

While she lamented that she wouldn’t have the money necessary to defend herself attacks on her reputation if she does run, Bachmann proclaimed she would run if God gave her the approval. Referencing her failed 2012 bid for the White House, Bachmann noted:

“I fulfilled the calling that God gave me. So the question is, am I being called to do this now? I don’t know.”

Keep in mind this is the very same Michele Bachmann who has said the following over the years:

“I know for my family, the only question that we will be answering is how many people are in our home. We won’t be answering any information beyond that because the Constitution doesn’t require any information beyond that.” (When asked about the census.)

“I find it interesting that it was back in the 1970s that the swine flu broke out then under another Democrat president, Jimmy Carter. I’m not blaming this on President Obama, I just think it’s an interesting coincidence.” (On a 2009 outbreak of swine flu.)

“Normalization (of gayness) through desensitization. A very effective way to do this with a bunch of second graders is to take a picture of ‘The Lion King’ for instance, and a teacher might say, ‘Do you know the music for this movie was written by a gay man?’ The message is: I’m better at what I do because I’m gay.” (On homosexuality.)

Michele Bachmann in the Senate? God help us!
