Montel Williams was scheduled to appear on “The O’Reilly Factor” Thursday evening, but canceled at the last minute. That really upset the always cranky O’Reilly, who said this about Williams:

“He’ll never be on this program again. He’s not a man of his word, he’s unprofessional. Montel, I’ve known you for a long time, but that is about as low as it gets.”

Williams was supposed to join O’Reilly and discuss the anti-LGBT and anti-Muslim platform adopted by the Republican Party at their convention, but staffers with the Fox News show changed their minds and said he would be talking about other issues related to the convention.

But O’Reilly was far from finished lambasting Montel, adding this bit of poison:

“We didn’t miss Montel Williams at all. We didn’t miss him. Did anybody miss him? Hey Montel, you’re not a stand-up guy, I gotta tell you. Walking out at the last minute? Very cowardly.”

But Williams, a former Marine, was more than equal to what O’Reilly had dished out, and he posted a video of his own which referenced O’Reilly’s divorce and his ex-wife’s allegations that the Fox host had physically assaulted her, calling out O’Reilly with this:

“You have to take it to another place, O’Reilly, and call me a coward, because I won’t talk to you. The word ‘coward’ is usually used on people who have done most of the things that you’ve done, like embellishing lies about your credentials as a journalist, like the fact that your own daughter in a testimony in a court case — reported in the Washington Post — said that you dragged your ex-wife down a flight of stairs. You wanna talk about coward, homeboy? When you point a finger this way, three are coming back. We know who the coward is.”

Looks like the blowhard O’Reilly forgot who he was dealing with, and also neglected to recall that he has more than a few skeletons in his own closet.
