Mueller Squeezes Trump’s Inner Circle, And The End Approaches For An Illegitimate POTUS

Recently, we learned that Special Counsel Robert Mueller had interviewed the current Attorney General of the United States, Jeff Sessions. Mueller and his team of investigators have also interviewed former FBI Director James Comey, whose firing set off a chain of events that led to the appointment of a special counsel to look into the 2016 election.

And now we find out that another member of Donald Trump’s inner circle, CIA Director Mike Pompeo, has also spoken with Mueller. The heads of the National Security Agency and Director of National Intelligence have also had a sit-down with the Mueller team.

All of this suggests that Mueller is bearing down on Trump with a charge of obstruction of justice, the very same accusation that appeared on the articles of impeachment for both Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton. And it seems unlikely those are the only areas Mueller is pursuing when it comes to Donald Trump. Former Assistant Attorney General Jimmy Gurulé, who served in the George W. Bush administration, recently predicted Mueller would also charge Trump with:

  • Violations of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act
  • Violations of the Federal Election Campaign Act dealing with fundraising
  • Violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act
  • Violations of IRS and tax law
  • Money laundering

Will there be a formal indictment of Trump? That remains to be seen, but it would make a powerful statement to any Republicans in Congress who are eager to defend Trump no matter what. A grand jury indictment is likely to increase public pressure for the GOP to at least begin hearings on impeachment in the House Judiciary Committee.

So what comes next? Based on news reports, Trump’s attorneys are “negotiating” an interview for their client with the Mueller team. But if they decide to try and set the terms of that meeting or what can be asked and what’s off limits, it’s unlikely Mueller will agree to give Trump that kind of latitude.

More likely is Trump being subpoenaed to appear before a grand jury, which he would have to do, whether he likes it or not. And that’s when Trump — who is a pathological liar — would open himself up to multiple counts of perjury.

The bottom line reads like this: Trump is about to be faced with only two options: Resign, or stay and risk being impeached, even prosecuted. The end is near for the traitorous Trump.
