NEW POLL Out Of Key Battleground State Ohio Is Shaking Up The Race For The White House

For Donald Trump, Ohio may be the single most important state he needs to secure if he hopes to be the next President of the United States. No Republican has won the general election without carrying Ohio since Richard Nixon in 1968.

Which means the latest poll out of the Buckeye State so troubling for the Trump camp. The latest CBS News Battleground Tracker poll shows Clinton leading Trump 46 percent to 40 percent in Ohio. In July, the same poll had Clinton up by four points in the state.

The same CBS poll also has bad news for Trump in Iowa, a traditionally Republican state. In the Hawkeye State, Clinton and Trump are tied at 40 percent each.

In recent polling, Clinton has also been shown ahead in the battleground states of Florida, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. The Democratic nominee is also tied or leading slightly in red states such as Georgia and Utah.

Should this trend continue, Trump could wind up losing by one of the largest margins we have seen in decades. It may also wind up giving control of the Senate to the Democrats and allow them to make inroads in the House.

Donald Trump is hanging around the necks of the GOP like an orange albatross. But they have no one to blame for their current woes except themselves.
