Ethics Official Names The Members Of Congress That Are ‘Compromised’ By Putin

Could it be that the reason top Republicans are so reluctant to say anything about the high crimes and misdemeanors allegedly committed by President Donald Trump be due to the fact that those very same GOP lawmakers are compromised when it comes to the matter of Russia and Vladimir Putin?

Richard Painter, who served as the chief White House ethics lawyer under former President George W. Bush, certainly thinks there are indeed ulterior motives to the way many prominent Republicans have acted and spoken ever since the Russia probe began, and in a recent article he laid out his leading suspects.

In an article he published on Medium, Painter gives us several names he suggests deserve a closer look. Here they are, along with a brief explanation from Painter of why he put them on his list:

Devin Nunes:

“There is no logical reason for Nunes to go so far in trying to obstruct the Russian investigation unless he has something personal at stake.”

Lindsey Graham:

“We know that Senator Graham’s emails were stolen by the Russians, based upon his own admission in a December of 2016 interview. Most of Graham’s hacked emails have not been released, so it is reasonable to consider the possibility that many of his emails are still in play.”

House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy:

“McCarthy was caught on tape talking with a small group of Republican leaders, including Ryan, while making an explosive revelation: “There’s two people I think Putin pays: (Rep. Dana) Rohrabacher and Trump.”

House Minority Whip Steve Scalise:

“[Enabled] Putin’s meddling and Trump’s behavior of accepting money from a hostile foreign power.”

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell:

“McConnell’s problematic finances provide insight into the possibility that a personal agenda, apart from the wish to see Republican policy success, could play a role in his irrational behavior.”

Clearly, it’s not just Donald Trump who’s in bed with Vladimir Putin. The complete corruption and rot that exists within the Republican Party may well have led them to sell out their country to the highest bidder.

  1. Hope Muller is able to bring the corrupt officials to the justice they deserve. Under current law, don’t think the can be charged with treason but it is clear they’ve committed crimes against America.

  2. trump is no president of any kind. He is fake, illegal and illegitimate in his office. he was put in place by Russia an he was not legally voted into office. His time and any thing he has done should be annulled. He is a piece of shit, a dictator wanna be, and a racist brain dead motherfucker. If mcconnell and the republican party do not impeach trump, their whole party will be destroyed by years end.
