NRA Spokesman To Parents Of Slain VA Journalists: Don’t Be ‘So Emotional’

I knew the National Rifle Association (NRA) would stoop to any level in an attempt to brainwash the American public into believing that all sensible gun control legislation is an assault on Second Amendment rights (even though it clearly isn’t), but I had no idea they would direct their propaganda at the grieving parents of the two journalists killed in Virginia last week.

Colion Noir, a spokesman and video host for the defenders of gun violence at the NRA says in a video that the parents of murdered TV journalists Alison Parker and Adam Ward shouldn’t let their emotions get in the way of how important the right to bear arms is in the United States.

Noir, speaking directly to the camera, begins by saying:

“Grief-inspired advocacy can be extremely effective and powerful. And I say run full speed to find a way to end violence like this. However, sometimes in a fight we can become so emotional everyone and thing starts looking like the enemy, even if they’re there to help us. I’m deeply sorry for your loss.”

Yes, we can all see just how broken up you and the NRA gun nuts are about the deaths, Colion. Save your crocodile tears for someone who believes your mountain of lies and utter bullshit. Noir then says:

“Turning this murder into a gun control dog-and-pony show minutes after the shooting because you can’t make sense of what just happened is ridiculous.”

Parents who have just lost a child are entitled to turn that death into any kind of show they damn well want to, wouldn’t you agree?

Finally, this enormous pile of fetid human excrement gets his political message in, declaring that President Obama and Hillary Clinton and “the rest of the gun control Wu-Tang Clan” are so badly blinded by their emotions that:

“They try to take advantage of people’s ignorance about guns and their emotional response to horrible events to win votes and push an agenda that fosters an unhealthy dependence on the government.”

As a father, I’m not sure I can fully express just how angry this video makes me. For the NRA to even suggest that grieving parents are somehow pawns in a political power play is both disgusting and incorrect. The NRA is nothing more than the henchmen for the companies that make millions from the manufacture of weapons of mass destruction.

How do these monsters sleep at night?
