In what could well prove to be the most hypocritical statement of the 2016 campaign, earlier this morning Donald Trump fired up his computer and tweeted out this:

So now Trump wants to make the election about honesty? Damn, this is gonna be so much fun! I don’t even know where to begin. But let’s try this:
- During his New Hampshire victory speech, Donald Trump said the unemployment rate is 42 percent. It is actually 4.9 percent.
- Trump says he will build a wall and make Mexico pay for it. Not gonna happen.
- Trump continually lies and says that those born in the United States to citizens of other nations are not really Americans. Nearly every legal expert says he is wrong.
- In a debate, the Hamster Headed One said the United States has the highest tax rate in the world. Also a lie.
Not long ago, Politifact looked at Donald Trump’s statements since he announced he would seek the GOP nominaton. Here’s what they found:
Yep, fully 78 percent of the time he opens his mouth, a lie comes out of Trump’s mouth. Granted, all politicians lie, but this guy tries to outdo every one of them!
And Trump wants to question another person’s religious beliefs? This is a man who has said he’s never sinned or done anything wrong, so he has never had to ask God for forgiveness. Therefore, based on the Christian belief system, Donald Trump is actually Jesus Christ because he does not sin.
Earlier this week, at a campaign rally, Trump let loose with this very unreligious ranting about Cruz:
Yeah, lots of deeply religious people (Trump claims his favorite book is the Bible) call others a pussy just because they happen to disagree with them.
I didn’t think it was possible for Donald Trump to be a bigger asshat, a more complete dillhole, a larger hypocrite. Boy, was I ever wrong!
