Pro-Trump Minister Gets Slammed For Claiming POTUS Is Good For Blacks (VIDEO)

Here’s a question that should be easy for anyone with even a shred of logic and honesty to answer: What has Donald Trump done for African-Americans since becoming president?

The answer, of course, is NOTHING!

But Mark Burns, a so-called pastor who loves Trump almost as much as he does his Bible, appeared on MSNBC Saturday and was at first stumped, then enraged when asked that simple question.

During a discussion of praise from rapper Kanye West for Trump this week, Burns remarked:

“It shouldn’t be a Kanye controversy because he supports President Donald Trump. We should be applauding him being a free thinking black man who believes President Trump has policies, whether you like him personally or not, his policy is the best thing that’s for black Americans in this country”

Yep, it’s the old “black unemployment is low” argument, which is all well and good, but then again, it doesn’t address the underlying issue of how Trump really sees black Americans. And fellow guest Rev. Al Sharpton pointed out that fact to Burns:

“Let me jump in, and Pastor Burns and I do talk and are friendly. But I would say that even though I don’t fall out with Kanye or Pastor Burns, they should name the policies. If you claim the Democratic Party put blacks in the back of the bus, then they ought to name the policies of Donald Trump that has helped black America.

“So, show me in any instance where the president has reached out to do anything with black America.”

Since there isn’t a single instance for him to cite, Burns got defensive, and then became combative:

“What’s important for the viewers to understand it is by the sweat of my brow that I am where I am. A man who was once on welfare. writing a book right now called ‘From Welfare To The White House.’  I was on food stamps. I’ve been arrested. I know what it is like to feel belittled because of the color of your skin.”

Sharpton then used facts to eviscerate Pastor Burns, reminding him:

“This president [Trump] and Jeff Sessions said we will not protect the voting rights, we’re closing down the Affordable Care Act if we can. And we are not dealing with police matters. specifically, You have mass incarceration right now, because of the policies of others. I can name you from Johnson all the way through on the policies that Democrats have put through.”

Burns began shouting and pointing at Sharpton, but he again failed to give a response to the question of what exactly Trump has done for black Americans. He also failed to answer the pesky question of how “no one ever gave him anything” if he was on welfare.

How typical! Burns and his fellow Trumpkins love to talk up their orange hero, but when you ask them for specifics, they get their feelings hurt and go into attack mode.

What has Donald Trump done for anyone other than himself, his family, his business, or his rich friends? Not a damn thing.
