The Republican party is starting to get very very nervous, because they are suddenly coming to the realization that Donald Trump could well wind up being the 2016 GOP nominee, and spells doom for the Republicans this year and for many years to come.
“I think people are sick of politics in general. Sick and tired of Washington D.C. I think, actually just sick and tired of all parties.”
So then, since Trump is an outsider, how does Priebus feel about him being the nominee? He was directly asked:
“Are you really prepared to have him as spokesman of the Republican party?”
And that’s where it got very awkward, with Priebus sounding like a man trying to explain some Rube Goldberg device and how one goes about building the contraption:
“If the delegates, you know, accumulated in such a way that anyone of these candidates becomes the nominee, it’s it’s our job to support that nominee and we will.”
I think that’s a yes, and if indeed it is, then Priebus and the GOP are so screwed that I may not stop laughing for a very long time.
