Shortly after his brother, Roy, was declared the loser in the Alabama Senate election on Tuesday evening, Jerry Moore told NPR that the loss wasn’t his brother’s fault. And while he was at it, he also threatened Doug Jones, the Democrat who won the race:

“It might not happen on this earth right now, but Doug Jones will pay for what he’s saying. And them Democrat people that’s out there and those Republicans in Washington. They’re going to have to answer to God.”

When will Roy Moore pay for molesting an underage girl and prowling the Gadsden Mall looking for teenage girls he could take home and try to bed?

This is the very same Jerry Moore who asserted that his brother was being persecuted “like Jesus was.”

Roy Moore lost because enough people in Alabama decided they didn’t want to be represented by a disgusting child predator and pervert who is also a pathological liar, a hypocrite, and a bigoted asshole.

On Tuesday night, it can be said that Alabama took the first steps to shedding it’s Old South past and joining the rest of the country in the 21st century. We can all hope this is a harbinger of more good news in the 2018 midterm election and also in 2020 when, if he hasn’t been impeached or resigned, Donald Trump will also be booted from office.

Jerry Moore, on the other hand, is about to join his brother as a footnote in history.
