Scott Walker Does The Wisconsin Three-Step On Repealing The 14th Amendment

Scott Walker must be exhausted and more than a little dizzy when you consider how he’s flip-flopped and gyrated on the issue of repealing the 14th Amendment during the past few days.

And once again the Wisconsin Governor has changed his mind on the issue, saying on ABC’S “This Week” that he does not support repealing birthright citizenship.

Yet only a few days earlier, Governor Walker, when asked by NBC reporter Kasie Hunt if the 14th Amendment should be repealed, replied:

“Yeah…we should end birthright citizenship.”

This must be the old “rope-a-dope” strategy at work in the Walker camp: Keep shifting your position on an issue until people become so confused that they believe the last thing that came from your mouth. Only in this scenario, Scott Walker is playing the role of Dopey.

While he was flopping around like a fish earlier this week, Walker also declared that the immigration debate should be focused  on securing the Southern border, since once full security has been achieved, the issue of birthright citizenship will somehow become a moot point. Which is also a crock of bull, as Walker well knows.

Then on Friday, Walker told CNBC that he wasn’t taking a position on the 14th Amendment “one way or the other.” Which makes you wonder why he staked out a stance in the first place.

And we also have this statement from earlier this week:

“My point is, any discussion that goes beyond securing the border and enforcing the laws are things that should be a red flag to voters out there who for years have heard lip service from politicians and are understandably angry because those politicians haven’t been committed to following through on those promises.”

The red flag, Governor Walker, is the lip service you are paying as you attempt to talk out of both sides of your mouth simultaneously. My recommendation is that Scott Walker go take a long nap, because he must be flat out exhausted after this week.

Governor, we’ll wake you in December of 2016 and update you all that’s happened in your absence.
