Scott Walker Is Playing Kamala Harris In Mike Pence’s Debate Prep – And The Jokes Write Themselves

When you think of Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), the Democratic nominee for vice president, is the first person who comes to mind Scott Walker, the former governor of Wisconsin? Makes no sense, does it? And yet The Washington Post reports that’s exactly what’s happening:

“Former Wisconsin governor Scott Walker is once again working closely with Vice President Pence on debate preparations and serving as Pence’s foil in practice sessions, effectively playing the role of Sen. Kamala D. Harris, according to two people familiar with the sessions who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly.

“When reached by phone on Thursday, Walker declined to comment about any ongoing work with the vice president. ‘All I can say is that I worked with him four years ago and was happy to help,’ Walker said. ‘That’s it.'”

Fair enough, but why is a man playing Sen. Harris? Is Pence too afraid of women to spar against one in debate prep? Or does his wife, Karen (whom Pence refers to as “Mother”) not allow her fragile husband to be in the same room with a woman?

But perhaps even more daunting for Pence as he prepares for a debate with Harris is the fact that Scott Walker isn’t even a college graduate. He dropped out of Marquette and never went back to finish his degree.

Harris, on the other hand, has a law degree, is a former prosecutor, and was the California attorney general. If you saw her when she debated during the Democratic primaries, you know she’s incredibly formidable and not to be taken lightly.

The very idea of Scott Walker pretending to be Harris led to uncontrollable laughter on social media:

Here’s some free advice for Mike Pence: Before you take the stage to debate Kamala Harris, have someone give you the last rites.
