How about we just go ahead and get this out of the way before we proceed any further: Ted Cruz is weird. Face it, he just is. He has a smile that can chill your blood, and his ideas about what needs to be done in this country are just slightly to the far right of Atilla the Hun.
But Teddy Boy may just have gone from weird to flat-out bizarre with this YouTube video that was made by a supporter of his who also happens to be a birther. In this video, Cruz is presented as the hero of the Star Wars movies. Take a look:
The Cruz camp sent the video out yesterday along with an email message which read:
“In honor of the latest Star Wars movie, the team here at Cruz HQ wanted to share with you a YouTube video created by a fellow supporter that depicts Senator Cruz as a Jedi Warrior, fighting for the Constitution,” the Cruz campaign wrote in an email to supporters last night, linking to a fawning Breitbart article about the video.
In the video, which is among the strangest things I’ve seen so far during the 2016 campaign, Cruz is seen riding an elephant while holding a light saber made out of the U.S. Constitution. The video ends (mercifully) with Cruz having a showdown with President Obama while flanked by a group of RINOs (Republicans In Name Only). The the mighty Cruz restores liberty to America.
Kinda makes you wanna puke up your popcorn, doesn’t it?
The video was made by “filmmaker” Joel Gilbert, who also produced the anti-Obama propaganda film Dreams from My Real Father. In that film, Gilbert claimed that Obama’s father was a communist by the name of Frank Marshall Davis. The video also uses fake images in an attempt to slag President Obama’s mother, falsely claiming that she posed for sexually explicit photos.
Cruz may wind up being the GOP nominee, but this kind of stuff is exactly why he will never be President. Use the Force, Teddy Boy. We all know you’re a member of the Dark Side.
