Trump Attacked This 10-Year-Old Girl, But Her Mother Is Fighting Back (Video)

Earlier this week in Iowa, during a town hall meeting being held by Hillary Clinton, a moment occurred which I consider to be one of the most genuine, honest, and deeply touching of the 2016 campaign.

Clinton, taking questions from the audience, acknowledged a 10-year-old girl, Hannah Tandy, who stood up and asked what the former Secretary of State would do about bullying in schools. Tandy said she wanted to know because:

“I have heard people talking behind my back about not wanting to be near me because I have asthma.”

Clinton hugged the girl and made a very powerful statement about human decency and the need for compassion in America:

“I really do think we need more love and kindness in our country. I think we are not treating each other with the respect and the care that we should show toward each other. And that’s why it’s important to stand up to bullies wherever they are, and why we shouldn’t let anybody bully his way into the presidency, because that is not who we are as Americans.”

Yes, that was indeed a swipe at current GOP frontrunner Donald Trump, and personally I was glad to see Hillary call out Trump in that manner. But as you would expect, Trump took to social media and accused this precious child of being part of a staged event:

Hannah Tandy’s mother, Lexie, took offense at Trump’s dismissive tweet, and she told a local newspaper:

“I don’t want to get in a big match-up with Donald Trump, but let me tell you, I will be in one if he makes comments about my daughter. She’s 10. She’s just a little girl.”

Bullies like Donald Trump don’t care who they attack. Age, disability, gender is irrelevant to a preening asshat of a human being like Trump.

Lexie Tandy also said she realized her daughter was too young to vote, but then added:

“But if Hannah could vote, I’m sure she’d be for Hillary.”

So here is my personal Christmas message to Donald Trump: You’re a douchebag, a jerk, a man who feels personally inadequate so he has to strike out at others. Your act is wearing thin, and you are destined to lose. Because while you may say you’re the best at everything and always win, you are going to fail. And when it happens, we will all be there to sneer at you, just like you sneered at Hannah Tandy.
