Ann Coulter is one of the most strident anti-immigration individuals in the country, maybe in the world. So when an illegal immigrant who is also an activist for the immigration movement asked Coulter if she could give her a hug, you can probably imagine how that went.
At a Q&A session for Coulter’s latest book, Gaby Pacheo asked Coulter a simple question:
“Can I give you a hug?”
To which Coulter faked a cough and said she was just getting over a bad dose of the flu, so probably not a good idea to be hugging.
But Pacheo persisted, remarking:
“It’s okay. This undocumented immigrant who has lived in this nation for almost 22 years wants to, as a sign of my humanity and yours, recognize you and say, ‘Can I give you a hug?’”
Humanity? Who said Coulter had a single human bone in her body? The way she rails against anyone who dares to disagree with her, I’m inclined to believe she’s a hybrid of a wolverine, hyena, and a jackal.
Again, Coulter demurred, hoping to brush off Pacheo with this:
“No, let’s get on with the question.”
I’ve noticed that Coulter often wears a cross necklace, yet when it comes to showing some Christian compassion for another of God’s children, she sidesteps the issue. Why might that be? Because she knows if she hugs an illegal immigrant she will no longer be as credible when she preaches that they’re more dangerous than ISIS? Or might it be because it might cut into the sales of her vapid, hate-filled screeds she dares to call books?
What is so beautiful about this encounter between Gaby Pacheo and Ann Coulter is the way in which it proves once and for all just how heartless and empty Coulter is, just as we have always suspected. She didn’t deserve that hug, but the fact that she wouldn’t even entertain the idea of hugging an adversary lets us know that this woman is just an ideological hack out to make a buck and stir up the biases of anyone who dares take her seriously.
Ann, you just got your karma leveled.
