WATCH: Florida Governor Rick Scott Gets Publicly Shamed At Starbucks (VIDEO)

Florida GOP Governor Rick Scott dropped by a Starbucks in Gainesville, Florida the other morning for a nice cup of coffee, but he got a whole lot more than he could have imagined when an angry fellow Floridian called him out and publicly shamed him for some of his right-wing policies, which have hurt the poor in the Sunshine State.

The woman, later identified as Cara Jennings, began by telling Scott:

“You cut Medicaid, so I couldn’t get Obamacare. You don’t care about working people. You should be ashamed to show your face around here.”

Sheepishly, almost as if afraid to speak, Scott told the woman:

“I got us a million jobs.”

Then Ms. Jennings really lit into Governor Scott, telling him in no uncertain terms what she thought of his assertion on the jobs:

“A million jobs? Great, who here has a great job? Or is looking forward to finishing school? Do you really feel like you have a job coming up? You stripped women of access to public healthcare. Shame on you, Rick Scott.”

Jennings was shouting at this point, and totally destroyed Scott, sending him running for the nearest exit with this:

“Shame on you Rick Scott. We depend on those services. Rich people like you don’t know what to do! When poorer people like us need services you cut them. Shame on you Rick Scott! You’re an embarrassment to our state!”

Rick Scott is one of several Republican Governors from Kansas to Louisiana, Wisconsin to Georgia, who have also refused to expand Medicaid in their states, leaving millions of needy citizens without healthcare or anyway to pay for soaring medical costs. In some cases, such as Sam Brownback in Kansas and Bobby Jindal in Louisiana, they have also left their states in financial ruin. Education budgets and other needed services are being cut because these men decided to implement the already discredited economic policy of cutting taxes to stimulate growth, which has never and will never work. Trickle down economics should be consigned to the dustbin of history.

Clearly, Republicans at the state level, much like their counterparts in Washington, have no solutions to the problems which confront us all.
