WATCH: Trump Gets Upset With O’Reilly For Asking This One Simple Question (Video)

You won’t hear me say this very often, but Fox News is absolutely right. They have said they will not remove Megyn Kelly as a moderator of the next GOP debate just to please current frontrunner Donald Trump, and that’s absolutely the right thing to do. Candidates have never been allowed to decide who asks them questions or screen the questions they will be asked. Were Fox to accede to Trump’s demands, it would set a dangerous precedent for all journalists.

That being said, it’s interesting to note that despite the Donald being ticked off at Fox News, he did agree to appear with Bill O’Reilly last night on “The O’Reilly Factor.” Trump and O’Reilly are good friends, have been for years, so perhaps Trump was just being a decent guy by showing up for an interview.

The main topic of discussion was, as you would expect, the fact that Trump has said he will not be part of the debate, which will be held tonight in Iowa. But then near the end of the interview, there was an odd exchange. O’Reilly told Trump:

Forgive, go forward, answer the questions, look out for the folks. Just want you to consider it. You owe me milkshakes.

Owes him milkshakes?! What is this, a discussion between two 10-year-old kids at a malt shop? Trump replied:

Even though you and I had an agreement that you wouldn’t ask me that, which we did, I will therefore forget that you asked me that, but it’s up to Fox, it’s not up to me, Bill.

O’Reilly admitted that he had indeed made some promise to Trump to not ask the question about the debate, which led Trump to comment he didn’t want the question asked:

Because it’s an embarrassing question for you and I don’t want to embarrass you.

Quite frankly, both of these boneheads are an embarrassment to logic, common sense, decency, and political discourse. Hey, no wonder they’re such good friends!

Here’s the full interview, which aired on Fox last night:
