What Does The Trump Staff Shakeup Mean? A Clinton Landslide

Most unwanted job on the face of the planet right now? Easy, it’s campaign manager for Donald Trump.

Tuesday evening, the Orange Menace gave the boot to Paul Manafort and installed Steve Bannon, chairman of Breitbart News (if that’s what you want to call what Breitbart posts) as campaign CEO. Longtime GOP shill Kellyanne Conway (who could scare away stray cats with her annoying voice) will now be the campaign manager and travel with the candidate as a way of improving messaging.

Earlier this morning on the cable news shows, there was lots of chatter about what this latest shakeup means. Some said it shows that Trump is getting serious about winning. Really? So he wanted to wait until the race was almost over with so he could attempt a Hail Mary pass? Others said that Conway was a great choice and would make Trump more disciplined on the stump. No kidding? Sounds laughable to me.

Let’s get down to brass tacks and admit what the latest moves actually mean: The Trump campaign is in total chaos and disarray, so they decided to rearrange deck chairs on the Titanic. Probably because that worked so well for the ill-fated passengers of the luxury liner.

Trump is losing in states such as Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. This election is all but over with. Now I’m not suggesting we all be complacent and not show up on Election Day. Turnout is the key to a Democratic victory on November 8. But to believe that even former Fox News CEO Roger Ailes–who is supposedly prepping Trump for the first debate in September–can suddenly work a miracle is about like expecting a ravenous hyena to leave a wounded wildebeest alone because he feels sorry for the poor fella. Ain’t gonna happen!

The Donald has made a career out of firing people. But the big problem is that when he lets someone go, he always neglects to get to the source of the problem: Himself. The only way the Trump campaign can be resurrected is if he is no longer running.

So while Trump may have made some big changes last night to his campaign team, he’s still there at the top, which means the Clinton landslide is all but assured.
