Friday evening, months of work by Special Counsel Robert Mueller began to provide tangible results that may well result in bringing down the presidency of Donald Trump.

While initial details are sketchy, there are some things we know and can surmise from what we’ve learned so far. Newsweek has laid those out:

Who Was Indicted?

The charges issued by the grand jury have been sealed by a federal judge, meaning we won’t know the identity of the person or people who have been charged. The identity of the indicted will remain secret until arrests are made.

Initial speculation, however, suggests that the most likely parties named in the sealed indictments are probably former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort and/or former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn.

Other names that have come up as possible subjects of the investigation who might also be named in the indictments include Donald Trump Jr., Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, and Carter Page, who served as a foreign policy adviser to the Trump campaign during the 2016 race. Trump friend and adviser Roger Stone has also been mentioned as a possible key to the Russia investigation.

How Many People Have Been Charged?

Early reports are that one person has been charged. But again, there’s no way of knowing until the indictment is unsealed.

When Will Arrests Begin?

As soon as Monday, sources have told CNN. That suggests that we could know the identity of the person or people in the indictment in just a couple of days.

What Are The Charges?

According to Newsweek:

“The issues at hand could range from collusion between Trump’s campaign team and the Russian government, to obstruction of justice by those involved in Trump’s bid for the presidency, to financial crimes. The probe is also analyzing the possibility that Trump himself obstructed justice by asked former FBI director James Comey to drop an investigation into his then National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, who was fired in February.”

Reaction From The Trump Team

None so far. No tweets from Trump, and no official statement from the White House. Trump may have been advised by his attorneys to remain silent on the matter. But one wonders if he has the self-control to take their advice.
