Ivanka Trump cannot believe how rough and tumble things are in Washington, D.C. Which begs the question: What deserted island has she been living on?
Yes, the First Daughter was a guest Monday morning on Fox & Friends, and was asked if she had been surprised by how hard it is to get things done in Washington. To that, Ivanka replied:
“It is hard. There is a level of viciousness that I wasn’t expecting. I was not expecting the intensity of this experience.”
Keep in mind this is the daughter of a man who for nearly eight years questioned the legitimacy of President Obama and repeatedly insinuated that Obama was not an American citizen and had been born in Kenya. Ivanka’s father also said on numerous occasions that his opponent, Hillary Clinton, should be locked up for having a private email server. And as if that wasn’t enough, Donald Trump is now trying to suggest that the former FBI Director committed perjury when he testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee last week. Ivanka didn’t know how vicious Washington could be? Give me a freaking break!
Later in the interview, Ivanka commented:
“This isn’t supposed to be easy. My father and this administration intends to be transformative and we want to do big bold things and we’re looking to change the status quo. So, I didn’t expect it to be easy. I think some of the distractions and the ferocity, I was a little blindsided by on a personal level. But for me, I’m trying to keep my head down, not listen to the noise and just work really hard to make a positive impact in the lives of many people.”
Big bold things? Does she mean the way her daddy is fleecing the federal government and is in violation of the Emoluments Clause of the U.S. Constitution?
Dear Ivanka: It’s called karma, and you and your family deserve every vicious barb that comes your way.
