You probably remember actor Jon Cryer from the hit NBC television show “Two And A Half Men,” which ran for 12 seasons and was a giant ratings hit. Cryer co-starred with Charlie Sheen, who played his older brother, and both were hilarious, especially when it came to cutting each other down.
Cryer is an unabashed liberal, and decided to endorse a candidate for the U.S. House in Florida who is running against Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), one of the biggest kiss ass sycophants for President Donald Trump on the planet.
Cryer posted this tweet:
Rep. @mattgaetz invited a white supremacist to the State of the Union, attempted to intimidate a federal witness, and endorsed a sociopathic bigot who applauded the deaths of migrants for congress.
I just donated to his opponent @PhilEhr https://t.co/wAVK0CR0nt https://t.co/dXfLMSvqXy

As you might expect, that didn’t sit well with Congressman Gaetz, who fired back with this weak response:
Charlie Sheen totally carried two and a half men. https://t.co/bNxQ9EegY7

But Cryer was more than ready with his comeback, which managed to destroy Gaetz by using nothing but facts:
Is that why, after he left, it lasted for 4 more years and I won an Emmy for Best Actor in a Comedy? https://t.co/VTE6g2yjZp

And FWIW, this wasn’t meant as a slam on Charlie.
He was undeniably the star of the show. And a fantastic actor. Despite his issues, we had many more highs than lows.
But you can’t say he “carried” a show that lasted four years without him.

Ouch! That’s gonna leave a mark. And it damn well should.
For those of you who don’t know, Rep. Gaetz has a lot in common with Charlie Sheen, both of whom have been busted for driving under the influence. And the Florida Republican was reminded of that, too:
Not surprising you’re a fan of Charlie Sheen Matt pic.twitter.com/ZSrXQL5Di4

Not surprisingly, Gaetz didn’t respond to Cryer. He either knew he’d been beaten and would only make matters worse with another tweet, or else he was late for happy hour.
