Are Emails From A Trump Campaign Data Firm The ‘Smoking Gun’ Mueller Needs?

Over the past week and a half, both the White House and its allies in Congress and right-wing media have focused unprecedented lies and vitriol in the direction of Special Counsel Robert Mueller, spreading lies about the Russia investigation because they know Mueller and his team are drawing ever closer to proving that President Trump and other members of his administration are guilty of conspiring with Russia.

It now appears that a recent development in the case has led to the fear behind the lashing out by Republicans.

A month or so ago, Mueller and his investigators requested emails and other documents from a firm known as Cambridge Analytica, which served as the data analysis firm for the 2016 Trump campaign. This is significant because Cambridge is alleged to have used voter data obtained by Russian hackers to target voters in key battleground states such as Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, all states that Trump managed to win.

Cambridge Analytica has another connection to Russia which was just exposed: They actively worked with WikiLeaks to illegally obtain emails from Hillary Clinton and other members of the Clinton campaign.

Once Mueller is able to make the link between Cambridge, Russia, and the Trump team, he has all the proof he needs to establish a criminal conspiracy to steal the election with the help of the Kremlin and Vladimir Putin. This is why Trump and his Republican defenders in Congress have increased their attacks on Mueller and the Russia probe: They know that if Mueller has the Cambridge Analytica emails, he has a slam dunk case against not only the campaign and Trump, but possibly against members of Congress who may have been aware of what was happening and failed to inform American law enforcement authorities.

Don’t be surprised if sometime over the next week to 10 days, Mueller unseals more indictments, including ones with the following names on them:

  • President Trump
  • Donald Trump Jr.
  • Jared Kushner
  • Ivanka Trump

Mueller is several steps ahead of the White House and Congress. He’s about to lay his cards on the table and bring down the Trump administration once and for all.
