BUSTED! National Security Adviser Discussed Sanctions With Russian Ambassador, Violated Law

National Security Adviser Michael Flynn had contact with and privately discussed U.S. sanctions against Russia with the Russian ambassador in the month prior to Donald Trump taking office. This would be a direct violation of American law.

The Washington Post is reporting that some of the contacts were a “potentially illegal” signal to Russia that they could expect an easing of American sanctions as soon as Trump was sworn in.

Additionally, the New York Times reports that Flynn and Russian ambassador Sergei Kislyak also discussed plans to combat ISIS:

“During the Christmas week conversation, he urged Mr. Kislyak to keep the Russian government from retaliating over the coming sanctions — it was an open secret in Washington that they were in the works — by telling him that whatever the Obama administration did could be undone, said the officials.”

On Wednesday, Flynn told reporters that he had never discussed sanctions with the Russian ambassador, but a day later he backed away from that blanket denial. A spokesman for Flynn told the Washington Post that the National Security Adviser “indicated that while he had no recollection of discussing sanctions, he couldn’t be certain that the topic never came up.”

The FBI is currently investigating Flynn’s contacts with Ambassador Kislyak.

Here we see the Donald Trump plan as it relates to American national security: Make back room deals with one of our mortal enemies, sell out your country to the highest bidder, and promise to accommodate a murderous thug, Vladimir Putin, in exchange for favorable business deals and God knows what else.

If it can one day be proven that Flynn, Trump, and others were involved in this level of treason, they should be indicted, tried, and, if found guilty, imprisoned for the remainder of their miserable lives.
