After 11 seasons that seemed like 11,000 to many of us, the A&E show Duck Dynasty is history at the beginning of 2017.
Jase Robertson commented:
“This will be our final season. After five years we’ve decided as a family for this to be the final chapter of the Duck Dynasty series.”
A&E confirmed the end of the series in a statement:
“After five years, 130 episodes and one of the biggest hits in the history of cable, the Robertson family and A&E jointly decided that Duck Dynasty, the series, will come to an end after this season.”
What isn’t clear is whether or not the Robertson family decided to end the show or if it was canceled by the network.
A tweet from Jase Robertson doesn’t clear that up:
Yes, this is the last season of Duck Dynasty. But, it is a REALLY long season, and we may do an occasional special in the future. Love yall

Hopefully they were cancelled because they voted for and supported “not my president”.
