FBI Follows The Money: Finds Payments That Prove Collusion With Russia (DETAILS)

For months, President Trump and the White House have been insisting there was absolutely no collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, even going so far as to suggest the entire matter has been fabricated by Democrats and the media.

But a new report from BuzzFeed News proves that Russia did indeed intervene in the 2016 election to benefit Trump, and they did so with more than just words. They put their money on the line to guarantee Trump became president.

According to BuzzFeed:

“On Aug. 3 of last year, just as the US presidential election was entering its final, heated phase, the Russian foreign ministry sent nearly $30,000 to its embassy in Washington. The wire transfer, which came from a Kremlin-backed Russian bank, landed in one of the embassy’s Citibank accounts and contained a remarkable memo line: “to finance election campaign of 2016.

That wire transfer is one of more than 60 now being scrutinized by the FBI and other federal agencies investigating Russian involvement in the US election. The transactions, which moved through Citibank accounts and totaled more than $380,000, each came from the Russian foreign ministry and most contained a memo line referencing the financing of the 2016 election.”

That is the money connection that Robert Mueller and Congressional investigators have been looking for since U.S. intelligence agencies found evidence that Russia had indeed interposed themselves on the 2016 election.

The FBI was first made aware of these suspicious transfers by Citibank in September, and they are now trying to determine exactly where the funds were sent, and for what purpose.

In January, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence issued what it called a “high-confidence” assessment that Russian president Vladimir Putin had personally signed off on a plan to use Russian influence to help Donald Trump win the White House. And now we have proof that the plan included thousands of dollars paid directly by the foreign ministry of Russia.

How crucial might these transfers be to the larger investigation of just how deeply Russia put its hand on the scale of the last election? An FBI agent commented:

“We had an election and the intelligence community concluded Russia interfered in it. How could we not investigate a suspicious financial transaction that contained a memo that said, ‘finance election campaign 2016?’ Given the climate and what was in that memo line it would be very irresponsible for us not to investigate. It’s a good lead.”

And it could wind up being the smoking gun that leads to the downfall of the Trump administration.
