On several occasions, President Trump has adamantly declared:
“I am the least antisemitic person you’ve ever seen in your entire life … the least racist person.”
But former Apprentice producer Bill Pruitt says nothing could be further from the truth, telling NPR that unreleased tapes from the show prove that Trump was fond of saying “unfathomably despicable” things during the filming of the now-defunct series.
Speaking on the podcast Embedded, Pruitt also had this to say:
“We recorded constantly, we went into the boardroom to set up discussions about how and who should get fired [on the show] without talking and saying directly who got fired, so there was a big, long exchange, all of which was recorded. Out of those exchanges came some really unfathomably despicable words said by this guy who is a TV star. I heard it, I watched it and those things are somewhere in some warehouse.”
Pruitt added that while Trump made disparaging comments about women, he also had offensive things to say about African-Americans, Jewish groups, and other minorities. The remarks were “very much a racist issue,” according to Pruitt:
“When you heard these things there’s the audible gasp that is quickly followed by a cough and then you just sort of carry on.”
And the former Apprentice producer said he greatly regrets that “a cultural icon emerged because we weren’t necessarily truthful about our portrayal.”
- “Women have one of the great acts of all time. The smart ones act very feminine and needy, but inside they are real killers.”
- “You know, it doesn’t really matter what [the media] write as long as you’ve got a young and beautiful piece of ass.”
- “I have a great relationship with the blacks. I’ve always had a great relationship with the blacks.”
Donald Trump is a racist, a sexist, and one of the most bigoted men to ever walk the earth. His remarks should surprise no one who has been paying attention.
