Fox News, we all realize, is nothing more than the propaganda wing of the Republican Party. They have been since their inception, and if you watch ten minutes of their programming anytime of day, you can repeatedly hear the talking points that have been handed to the personalities who deliver the party line.
So the GOP loves Fox News, right? Well, that may not be such a good thing for the Republicans, according to a studyconducted by a former Treasury Department official who worked in the Administration of George H.W. Bush.
Bruce Bartlett released the results of a recent study which found that Fox News viewers know much less about current events than those who watch the so-called “mainstream” media outlets, and also know less than people who watchabsolutely no news at all. So you see, we’ve been right all along about the kind of folks who get their “news” from Fox.
According to Bartlett:
“Republican voters get so much of their news from Fox, which cheerleads whatever their candidates are doing or saying, that they suffer from wishful thinking and fail to see that they may not be doing as well as they imagine, or that their ideas are not connecting outside the narrow party base.”
The study also found that Fox News viewers have inaccurate views on issues such as immigration reform, the Affordable Care Act, the Iraq War, and were biased against people of the Muslim faith.
All of this, Bartlett believes, is not helpful to the GOP, because voters who watch Fox:
“Now refuse to even listen to any news or opinion not vetted through Fox, and to believe whatever appears on it as the gospel truth.”
Or to put it another way, Fox News viewers are being systematically brainwashed by the crap they see and hear on the network, just Fox News chief Roger Ailes and Fox Chairman Rupert Murdoch have always wished and dreamed would happen.
Other Republicans have criticized Fox News, also. During the 2012 Presidential campaign, Newt Gingrich actually managed to let some truth come out of his mouth when he said:
“I think Fox has been for Romney all the way through. In our experience, Callista and I both believe CNN is less biased than Fox this year. We are more likely to get neutral coverage out of CNN than we are of Fox, and we’re more likely to get distortion out of Fox. That’s just a fact.”
Feel free to send a link of this story to whatever right wing friend or relative you know who says Fox is “fair and balanced.” Sure, they won’t believe it, but at least you’ve made the effort.

Every place you see Fox in this article, substitute CNN, and where you see “Republican” substitute “Democrat) and you’ll arrive at the truth.
There is an organization (I’m sure you must know which one) that teaches adherents to accuse the opposition of everything they, themselves are doing; and to lie and deny, believing that a lie told often enough becomes truth (in the small minds of the gullible, this becomes a true statement).
Truth? I certainly won’t be seeking that from someone as brainwashed as you.
Your comment about CNN demonstrate that you only watch Fox. If you actually watched CNN, You would be aware that they present both sides of issues not only one side.
