Fox & Friends Questions Patriotism Of Republicans Who Won’t Vote For Trumpcare (VIDEO)

When Senators Mike Lee (R-UT) and Jerry Moran (R-KS) said Monday evening they couldn’t support the GOP repeal and replacement bill for Obamacare, it essentially signaled the end of Republican efforts to pass draconian healthcare legislation this year.

But on Fox & Friends Tuesday morning, you’d have thought that Lee and Moran had just renounced their American citizenship and declared allegiance to an enemy. Co-host Brian Kilmeade commented:

“You have [Sen.] Rand Paul (R-KY), extreme conservative/libertarian, [Sen.] Ted Cruz (R-TX), OK I’m going to make my hands dirty and make it work somehow.’ And then you got moderates, like Senator [Rob] Portman (R-OH) listened to his governor. And have you Senator [Susan] Collins (R-ME), who said, ‘I got some huge blowback when I went back.’ So these people are being true to their school, just not true to their party, and maybe not true to their country.”

Hmm…is Kilmeade trying to imply some form of treason? That would be ironic in light of the fact that President Trump and members of his family may be guilty of committing treason with the Russians.

Kilmeade then quoted something Trump had said: If Republicans cannot manage to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act “they’ll look like dopes.”

To that, former George W. Bush press secretary Ari Fleischer remarked:

“He’s right. It’s not a question of being true to your party or true to your country. It’s a question of being true to your word. They should not have elevated the issue for eight years among Republicans, saying, ‘First thing we’ll do is repeal and replace,’ if they weren’t capable of doing it.”

What Fleischer neglected to mention is that Trump said the very first thing he’d do is repeal and replace Obamacare, but he was barely involved in the process and didn’t even understand the basics of the issue or the legislation written in secret by a few select senators. The dope in all of this is Donald Trump. What else is new? Watch the video after the jump.
