Fox News has long been the home of half-truths, lies, and outright propaganda on behalf of the Republican party. While Donald Trump loves to talk about “fake news,” Fox has been specializing in that art form for decades. But this time they’ve been caught and called out for their deception.
On Saturday, Fox News tweeted out some graphics they said demonstrated what a tremendous (i.e. YUUUGE!) effect Donald Trump has had on the economy compared to President Obama’s administration after its first 100 days. They neglected to mention that the American economy was in free fall as a result of the 2008 global financial crash when Obama took office and the numbers they used for Trump are merely holdovers from the last months of the Obama administration:

Within minutes, thousands of people weighed in on the Fox tweets, and they gave the network well-deserved grief for their attempt at rewriting history:
This is deeply, ludicrously, egregiously dishonest. Unemployment after 100 days is still mostly the consequence of the previous admin. https://t.co/K9IKbpNnri

So Democratic presidents have inherited economic messes and have left the economy in much better shape for their GOP successors. Got it. https://t.co/wgbtjj5XXE

@FoxNews What's the difference between state run media in North Korea, and this?

One other thing: On Friday, it was announced that America’s gross domestic product grew at a rate of 0.7% in the first quarter of 2017. That is the slowest growth rate in three years and it belongs to Trump, who, we should recall, has had numerous business ventures go bankrupt.
