Gun Lobbyist Says Right Wingers Ready To Use ‘Bullet Box’ If They Fail At Ballot Box

A lobbyist for the gun industry–aka Merchants of Death–is saying that should a Democrat win in November and nominate a Supreme Court justice not to their liking, it might be necessary to begin shooting everything in sight.

Larry Pratt, the executive director emeritus of Gun Owners of America, recently said on a radio show that Second Amendment rights will be endangered if liberals gain the majority on the United States Supreme Court:

“We would have to come to an understanding, which we’ve been sort of taught, it’s been taught out of us, that the courts do not have the last word on what the Constitution is. They decide particular cases, they don’t make law.

“Their decisions, unlike the Roe v. Wade usurpation, don’t extend to the whole of society, they’re not supposed to, and we may have to reassert that proper constitutional balance, and it may not be pretty. So I’d much rather have an election where we solve this matter at the ballot box than have to resort to the bullet box.”

This isn’t the first time that Pratt has advocated domestic terrorism as a solution to his gripes. In March, he also recommended using firepower against President Obama’s nominee to replace Antonin Scalia, saying of Merrick Garland:

“The Second Amendment is all about people like Judge Garland.”

A bit of wisdom seems necessary for Larry Pratt, even though I doubt it will do any good: If you and your gun loving friends decide to start trying to take over, just remember that the government has the police and military on their side. So you don’t stand a chance. But should you want to go out in a blaze of glory, I’m sure there are lots of law enforcement members who’d be glad to oblige you.
