Is Rudy Giuliani Now Cooperating With Robert Mueller To Avoid Prison?

Rudy Giuliani, who serves as a so-called “attorney” and chief public propagandist for President Donald Trump, has been suspiciously silent over the past couple of weeks.

Before he went incommunicado, Rudy was all over television, telling various news hosts that some members of the 2016 Trump campaign may have conspired with Russia, but not Donald Trump. In other words, Rudy threw everyone but the president under the bus and tried to make it sound like he’d been saying so all along.

Also, not long before Rudy pulled a Houdini, there were reports that Trump was furious with him for screwing up the entire defense strategy (such as it is) as it relates to the Russia investigation.

And then there’s this odd little tidbit that may mean nothing but could well mean everything: One of the last things Giuliani said before he vanished seemed to be more than a bit odd for a man who thinks he’s doing the right thing by defending the president:

“I am afraid it will be on my gravestone. ‘Rudy Giuliani: He lied for Trump.’ Somehow, I don’t think that will be it. But, if it is, so what do I care? I’ll be dead. I figure I can explain it to St. Peter. He will be on my side.”

Does that mean Rudy knows he’s been lying all along and Trump is guilty as homemade sin? And does it also suggest that he’s finally seen the light and gone over to Mueller’s side?

Make no mistake, Giuliani has plenty of legal problems himself. If he’s been willfully lying for Trump and covering up a crime he knows has been committed, he could be charged for misprision of a felony or even as part of the larger Russia conspiracy. After all, Rudy was a close adviser to the Trump campaign and may have his own “collusion” problem.

Also, there’s the matter of $10 billion Trump and Giuliani allegedly laundered for Russian oligarchs. The Dutch government has been petitioned to open an investigation in the matter, which includes the role Giuliani played:

“The complaint asserts that a small slice of the missing billions was run through Dutch shell corporations with help from Rudy Giuliani’s old law firm, Bracewell & Giuliani. Until 2016, Giuliani was a partner in the 470-lawyer firm.”

Rudy is toast, and he wants to try and stay out of prison, so don’t be surprised if we learn in the weeks ahead that he is indeed singing like a bird to Robert Mueller. And if he’s telling the special counsel everything he knows, Donald Trump is utterly and completely screwed.
