A couple of weeks ago, Ivanka Trump was in North Carolina to campaign for her father and sing his praises, despite the fact that her daddy is the biggest failure in presidential history and has the blood of over 200.000 Americans dripping from his tiny hands.
Speaking in Wilmington, the first daughter used the North Carolina state motto “To be, rather than to seem” as the premise of her pitch for her daddy, remarking:
“On one hand you have a person who is a vessel for whatever the fringe of the party or the mainstream media want him to be, but on the other hand you have someone who is arguably the most authentic president we’ve ever had.”
The most authentic president we’ve ever had? Let’s take a moment and examine that comment more closely.
According to the Cambridge English Dictionary, the word “authentic” means:
“If something is authentic, it is real, true, or what people say it is.”
Another way of putting it would be to say that “authentic” means genuine.
Almost nothing about Donald Trump is genuine. His hair is fake. His tan is fake. He fakes his actual height by wearing lifts and shoes with massive heels on them. He has the White House physician says he weighs 234 lbs, but one glance at him tells you he tips the scales at least 300. He pretends to be an expert on business and finance, and yet he’s filed for bankruptcy at least six times.
Donald Trump is genuine? The only genuine or authentic thing about this president is that he’s a genuinely narcissistic, lying asshole who doesn’t a flying damn about anyone but himself and the almighty dollar.
If Ivanka and the entire Trump campaign want to be “authentic,” they should embrace the fact that the Donald doesn’t care how many people die as long as the stock market stays strong and he gets his second term so he can try and forestall the criminal indictments and prosecutions that are headed his way in the very near future.
Authentic? That’s one word that has never and will never apply to Donald Trump. He’s the biggest fake on the planet.
