Karl Rove–in all of his evil brilliance–is widely considered to be an expert on what will and won’t happen in elections. And this morning on Fox News Sunday, Rove said Trump is toast:
“I don’t see it happening. If he plays an inside straight, he could get it, but I doubt he’s going to be able to play it.”
Pointing to how far behind Trump is in the Electoral College, Rove noted that Mitt Romney only managed to win 206 electoral votes in 2012, and Trump is on track to only secure about 168. 270 electoral votes are needed to win.
Specifically, Rove said, Trump, has only a slim lead in Ohio and Iowa, which Obama won in 2012. But he is also behind in North Carolina and Arizona, states that Romney managed to win. And Trump is so far behind in other electoral vote-rich states like Florida that the cards are stacked against the GOP nominee:
“I doubt that in the just over two weeks we’ve got left, conducting the kind of campaign he’s conducting, that he’s going to be able to swing 1 out of every, you know, 10 voters, 1 out of every 12 voters, 1 out of every 15 voters and 1 out of every 6 voters in a state and convert them.”
So, Donnie, your obit has now been written by Turd Blossom himself, as George W. Bush called him. Oh, and Bush won’t be voting for your sorry ass, either, loser.
