The Trump team has now shifted strategies on their defense of the Tweeter-in-Chief from attacking Georgia Congressman John Lewis to whining about how they’re under attack on all sides.
Monday evening on MSNBC, senior Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway was confronted by host Greta Van Susteren with this suggestion:
“The problem is, sometimes it’s not about being right or who is to blame or something. I’m just wondering, as we try to come together on this very important day, and in light of the fact that Congressman Lewis spoke first and shouldn’t have said illegitimate, it would be a good gesture by one of them that maybe we can resolve this for the rest of us?”
That’s when the whining and defensiveness began, with Conway commenting:
“At the same time, you know Greta, it’s a lot. If you work at the Trump campaign, the Trump transition, the Trump White House, it’s like being the walking wounded, right? Everybody’s always gunning for us and we’re supposed to look the other way at all times?”
Boo freaking hoo! As much as Trump and his surrogates have shamelessly attacked people over the past year and half, they’re too damn dense to recognize karma coming to pay them a visit when it happens. Maybe if they hadn’t engaged so enthusiastically in slash and burn tactics, it would be easier to feel sorry for them. But why in the world anyone have any compassion for this pack of rabid hyenas?
Conway then added this bit of complete bullcrap:
“This man [Trump] was elected fairly and squarely. He is everyone’s president. He’s a legitimate president. You know who agrees with that? Barack Obama agrees with that, Hillary Clinton agrees with that.”
No, he was NOT elected fairly and squarely! He was assisted by Russia and its murderous leader, Vladimir Putin. And just because President Obama and Hillary Clinton have accepted the result of the 2016 election doesn’t mean that the majority of Americans who didn’t cast a ballot for Con Man Don are going to suddenly embrace this traitor.
