Based on a court brief filed Monday by the office of Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. alleges that President Donald Trump and the Trump Organization may have committed tax fraud and the DA has grounds to investigate based on evidence at hand, according to The New York Times:
“Prosecutors listed news reports and public testimony that alleged misconduct by Mr. Trump and his businesses. The reports, prosecutors wrote, would justify a grand jury inquiry into a range of possible crimes, including tax and insurance fraud and falsification of business records. It was the first time the office had suggested tax fraud might be among the possible areas of investigation.
“’Even if the grand jury were testing the truth of public allegations alone, such reports, taken together, fully justify the scope of the grand jury subpoena at issue in this case,’ prosecutors wrote.”
The brief is in response to the repeated attempts by Trump and his business to withhold eight years of tax returns from Vance’s office, even though the U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that the returns are indeed material evidence that may be sought by prosecutors as they look for possible criminal behavior.
Vance has impaneled a grand jury in Manhattan that has been investigating the president and the Trump Organization for months. Both are suspected of having committed insurance and tax fraud.

The public and decent citizens of USA must be worn out and really need a ray of hope considering all the disappointments and the lack of justice, displays of fraud thrown every day and disgraceful behaviours from this drug addled crew.
