Something very strange is happening inside the White House, and it involves a communique from Vice President Mike Pence that refers to Donald Trump as his father.
Pence, who is known to call his wife, Karen, “Mother,” posted the following message on his verified Facebook and Instagram accounts regarding raising money for the Trump-Pence 2020 reelection effort, and it caught the eye of NBC News reporter Brandy Zadrozny, so she took a screenshot:
HuffPost explains what probably happened is that some campaign staffer was doing a cut and paste job on a basic fundraising letter that was intended to be sent under the name of Donald Trump Jr. or Eric Trump, but the unfortunate mistake drew plenty of mocking on Twitter:
A reminder that everyone in this regime, from the top all the way to the bottom, sucks mightily at what they do. https://t.co/Ssy2qnk5Hs

Eh. Pence called Trump “father” is just as believable as this being copy and pasted. https://t.co/gGSVGLygJs

Pence: My wife is Mother
Pence: My boss is Father https://t.co/y6QA3U1PYK— Parker Molloy (@ParkerMolloy) July 3, 2020
🤣🤣 As for me, I keep seeing Pence dressed up as Marilyn Monroe singing “Happy Birthday, Mr. President.”

So wait, if Karen Pence is”mother” and Trump is his “father…” Nah, as a visual person I don’t even want to think about it.

“We love you, President Daddy!”

It kinda makes Donald Trump seem like Darth Vader.

He wrote “my fuhrer” but it autocorrected to “my father”. How embarrassing .

I always assumed he called Donald “daddy,” not “father.” But, knowing Mike, that’s probably how he justifies it in his mind.
