Ted Cruz is, without question, a conservative extremist, but he comes by his extremism honestly, via his father, Rafael Cruz, who is just to the right of Atilla the Hun. And Papa Cruz is back in the headlines again, warning that with the appointment of one more liberal justice to the Supreme Court, the government might well confiscate every gun in America, declare the Second Amendment null and void, and then turn guns on the American public.
In a radio interview the elder Cruz proclaimed:
“One more liberal justice with that way of thinking and we will lose our Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. And think back in history: Every dictator that has taken the guns away from the population has used them against the population.”
As you would expect, Cruz then decided to make a shameless pitch for his son Ted, saying:
“It is imperative that we elect as president someone that you can be certain that will only nominate to the Supreme Court justices that are committed to following the Constitution and the rule of law, not to legislate from the bench. Otherwise, if we lose the court, it may take a whole generation to recover it and I don’t think we have the time.”
While he had the microphone and someone willing to listen to his crap, Cruz also warned that the American educational system is being used by communists to indoctrinate children into “an anti-Christian worldview.” And he added:
“What has happened in America is that we have believed this lie of separation of church and state, which is not in the Constitution, is not in the Declaration. The total opposite is true. One of the very first Bibles printed in America was printed under the auspices of Congress to be the principal textbook in high schools, primary schools and universities.”
In case you were wondering, that claim is absolute and utter bullshit. Congress never authorized the printing of Bibles and wanted them used in schools. Thomas Jefferson would never have allowed such a thing, and it never happened, so it’s just another of Papa Cruz’s many lies.
Listen to Rafael Cruz for more than thirty seconds and you’ll hear how the end is near for this country. That’s why it’s best to listen only for the purpose of comedic relief.
