On Friday, Vice President Mike Pence spoke to the Council for National Policy, a conservative think tank, and engaged in the same absurd lies that his boss continues to spout on Twitter about how they won the 2020 election and intend to be in office for another term.
During his remarks, Trump supporters began chanting “four more years,” which Pence only encouraged, Forbes reports, telling them:
“That’s the plan. I promise you: We will keep fighting until every legal vote is counted, until every illegal vote is thrown out, and we will never stop fighting to make America great again.”
Pence also said that he and the president continue to “await the results of our election,” even though earlier in the day Joe Biden was declared the apparent winner in Georgia, the first Democratic presidential candidate to win the Peach State since Bill Clinton in 1992. Biden beat Trump in the Electoral College vote 306-232, a resounding victory and the same electoral margin Trump won over Hillary Clinton four years ago. At the time, Trump called the electoral tally a “landslide.”
Trump continues to blame everyone but himself for his defeat, suggesting Saturday that even Republicans were complicit:

The crimes Trump most fears being exposed have nothing to do with the election and involve ongoing investigations in New York where multiple jurisdictions suspect him, his children, and his company of engaging in insurance and tax fraud as well as money laundering. And that’s why he doesn’t want to be booted from office. But he will be, and then he’ll have to answer for whatever illegal things he’s done over the years.
