Rudy Giuliani Hints That He Has Very Damaging Dirt On Trump

It’s been weeks since we last heard from Rudy Giuliani, who was jetting around the world telling people he was Donald Trump’s attorney and looking for dirt on the Biden family. Apparently, Rudy was especially fond of travel to Ukraine, which just so happens to be the location of the scandal that has led to Trump being impeached.

The last blip of news we had regarding Guiliani was that he had put the word out he needed a good attorney since he’s also neck deep in the Ukraine scandal and may wind up being charged with multiple felonies related to his actions with his associates, Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman.

Now, however, Rudy is back, and he’s making news for something he told the British newspaper The Guardian.

Speaking with a Guardian reporter, Giuliani said he wasn’t worried that President Trump will do what he often does: Toss him under the bus in order to save his own skin:

“Rudy Giuliani, Donald Trump’s personal lawyer, has said he is confident the president will remain loyal to him as an impeachment inquiry unfolds in which the former New York mayor has become a central figure.

“But Giuliani joked that he had good ‘insurance’ in case Trump did turn on him, amid speculation Republicans will seek to frame him as a rogue actor.

“In a telephone interview with the Guardian, in response to a question about whether he was nervous that Trump might ‘throw him under a bus’ in the impeachment crisis, Giuliani said, with a slight laugh: ‘I’m not, but I do have very, very good insurance, so if he does, all my hospital bills will be paid.'”

Just this week, a report from Axios suggested that the Republican plan was indeed to blame the entire Ukraine mess on Giuliani:

“Top House Republican sources tell Axios that one impeachment survival strategy will be to try to distance President Trump from any Ukraine quid pro quo, with Rudy Giuliani potentially going under the bus.”

It should be noted that Giuliani’s attorney, Robert Costello, who was also in on the call with The Guardian, insisted that Rudy is “joking” when he issues that veiled threat at Trump. But if that’s the case, why even bother to say such a thing in the first place?

So while Trump and Republicans in Congress may be planning to make Rudy Guiliani the scapegoat, it certainly sounds like they’d better think twice before they do so. Rudy’s “joking” could wind up destroying Donald Trump.

  1. It is SO much fun to watch when the sharks start to bite each other. I suspect the pirana will swoop in and finish them all off.
